Mike Wood Lighting & Production Services is a Riverview based production design, consultation, and staffing company who prides ourselves on outstanding customer service - and an outstanding product!

From the initial idea, to the preparation, execution, and cleanup of each event, we are behind you all the way in order to ensure the highest quality of service. Your production is a big deal - hire someone who thinks so too!

We can do everything from a simple lighting plot for a small community theatre show - to a full scale production, complete with lavish sets, the latest technology in lighting, crystal clear sound reinforcement, and logo/publicity design. We can work with Autocad, Vectorworks, and WYSIWYG in order to show each client exactly what each set piece or overall set will look like. We also can produce extremely realistic renderings of our work before any materials are even purchased!

Our History:
It all started when a group of theatre students at Durant High School met and decided to start working together. Throughout their time at Durant, they continually pushed the envelope with new and exciting things that Durant had never seen before.

After graduating in 2006, Mike Wood, Max Roberts, Jason Johnson, and Steven Infield decided to form a production company to continue their endeavours in production design. MWLPS was officially incorporated in January of 2008, though the team had been working together for nearly 6 years before that. Now, instead of just doing theatrical productions, the group began expanding out into other markets as well - most notably, wedding receptions.

In July of 2008, MWLPS entered into a special arrangement with John Sullivan and The Barn Theatre at Winthrop - in exchange for venue support and staffing, MWLPS recieved use of office space in the front lobby of the venue. Operating out of this office ever since, we are equipped with a fully functional design studio with drafting tables, Autocad machines, and most importantly, a refridgerator!

MWLPS currently has nearly 40 crew members on the contact list, and stays constantly busy with various events throughout the central Florida area.

In the future, we hope to continue expanding our client base. We are always looking for new and exciting ways to challenge ourselves.
